UPDATE 28.07.2021

In this update, we've upgraded our engine version. This should lead to a slight increase in performance and fix some engine bugs (notably, we can use vsync again).
Otherwise, everything should look and feel the same. Should you run into any bugs or performance degradation please get in touch

New Features
- VSync is available in the graphics options again
- In addition to a slider, there is now also a number input for fps
- Added option to completely uncap fps

Changes
- Unified grass & trees systems in most maps
- Tweaked light direction in character selection

Bugfixes
- Fixed bad environmental reflections in the pyramid
- Fixed an edge case in path finding leading to some one-sided invisible walls in the middle of nowhere (notably the city)
- Fixed female characters not looking at the camera properly
- Fixed an edge case in monster AI that could cause a small lag spike on the server
- Fixed some translation errors in guild skill cast confirm popup

UPDATE 24.07.2021

New Features
- New & improved network backend - better ping times and less lag especially for worse connections (old backend is still available via the game settings)

Changes
- Improved aggro behaviour for monsters, they'll switch targets more readily
- Reduced monster movement bandwidth usage, this had been an issue for some players especially for highly populated areas (e.g. Pyramid, Zagan's dungeon)
- Attempting to cast a guild skill will ask for confirmation
- The skill cooldown duration is now formatted as a duration instead of a plain number

Balance updates
- Stone skin continues gaining knockdown resistance when upgrading to grandmaster (previously there was a drop when upgrading to grandmaster)

Bugfixes
- Fixed some monster aggro related bugs and edge cases
- Fixed boss health bar not showing up consistently when close to a boss
- Fixed ping sometimes not updating properly

UPDATE 14.07.2021

Changes
- Tweaked monster movement syncronization, should be even better for players with bad connections
- In the graphics settings, basic post processing is always enabled, even on low and very low (only applies to new installs)
- Increased player following stop distance slightly
- Tweaked safe zone monster spawn prevention to counteract some rifts spawning too close to safe zones

Balance updates
- Improved some bad attack collisions on a bunch of monsters
- Moved a potential rift spawn further away from the old tower in Nibor
- Reduced login skill cooldown to 15s

Bugfixes
- Fixed ping not updating correctly after a map switch
- Fixed event slot display resetting to the placeholder name after a map change
- Fixed griffon pet feathers not being transparent
- Fixed an error causing slight lag for some users when loading the shop model
- Fixed rift spawn effect not showing on monsters
- Fixed map/minimap path preview blocking mouse clicks/hover
- Fixed monsters not animating in some cases (especially noticable from rift spawns)
- Fixed monster name being hard to read in the minimap
- Fixed inconsistent sparkle color on some two handed weapons +10
- Fixed some small player movement netcode desyncs

UPDATE 07.07.2021

New Features
- Rifts now hide most grass/plants around them on reworked maps to make them more visible

Changes
- Monster models are now loaded in the background to reduce frame drops when entering a new area
- Monsters now move smoother
- Entities are now loaded more gradually when moving around, this should reduce frame drops some people noticed since the update on 23.06
- Player movement syncs a bit faster and shoud feel a bit snappier

Bugfixes
- Fixed an edge case where the network library would skip syncing sometimes after the server had been running for ~6 days
- Fixed an edge case where connecting to a server would time out for some people
- Fixed shutdown procedure disconnecting all players instantly instead of waiting 10s

UPDATE 30.06.2021

Changes
- Increased view range to match the one before last weeks update
- Slight networking responsiveness tweaks

Bugfixes
- Fixed a minor bug in statistics tracking
- Fixed purchasing coins without steam not working if steam was running on the computer
- Fixed a server bug in visibility code
- Fixed some synchronisation issues, especially noticable since dismounting/mounting was not working sometimes
- Fixed an edge case in duels sometimes causing pvp free mode to activate after the duel ended

UPDATE 23.06.2021

In todays update, we're releasing the first "maintenance" update in which we're doing large changes behind the scenes to keep the game current and optimized. This time we've upgraded our netcode library to a current version, which gives us some performance improvements, but should otherwise be unnoticable.
As with all big changes, there might be some issues that slipped through testing, should you find any please report them in the #bug-report channel on our discord!
Next week, all things going well, an improved network backend should follow which provides lower latency & snappier responses, especially in less ideal network conditions.

UPDATE 03.06.2021

Balance updates
- Level 1 weapons +0 don't drop anymore
- Increased drop chance of level 1 weapons +1
- Level 1 weapons all have the same price/gold value

Bugfixes
- Fixed items going invisible when adding to a player shop with not enough space to fit the item

- Fixed item binding being lost when splitting stacks
- Fixed daily gold reward chests being bound to the player that earned them

UPDATE 27.05.2021

Changes
- Teleportation Scroll (City & Return), Potion of Health Regeneration, Rift Compass, Potion of Vanishing, Blink, Teleport Charm Refresh, Shop Time (48h), Potion of Health, Antidote, Ultra Speed Potion are now tradable, however new items received from the "Daily Hunt" quest will be locked to the character they were earned on as they were previously.
- Artifacts can now be traded

Balance updates
- Player shop time was doubled

Bugfixes
- Fixed a bug where players with negative rank could drop items they weren't allowed to drop/trade

UPDATE 19.05.2021

Changes
- Using a teleport item inside a instance asks for confirmation before leaving now
- The "restart at start" respawn button is now disabled in instances to prevent accidentally leaving them when misclicking
- Tweaked view range for monster quest highlights (seen during "kill quests")
- Clicking on an npc to open their ui again after closing it is now more responsive

Bugfixes
- Fixed cancelled guild missions causing replacement guild missions to fail during the duration timer of the previous mission running out
- Fixed a guild mission related memory leak
- Fixed some minimap path rendering bugs
- Fixed an edge case where name text would misbehave for the first frame after spawning
